Merton is a borough that is famous for the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament and is comprised of two distinct halves. On one hand you have middle class, wealthy Wimbledon in the east and on the other working class Mitcham to the west. Amongst these two halves is a health mix of suburban areas mingled with open green spaces and parks. Merton has almost twice the London average of green space within its borders.
